Twarda's scraps & stuff

I managed to paint something on my 3DS. This is for a Colors! weekly challenge. Click here to see the replay data There was a problem with a 3D effect; I wanted work on it, but 5 layers forced me to improvise and skip more detailed background.

Sorry for very little posting lately, I have few reasons for that… Well I may as well explain:

1) This is the final year at my university. A lot of exams and field class and stuff are going on.

2) As this is the final year, I’m busy with my paper/dissertaion.

3) 3 years ago I “developed” an alergy and now it strikes back. This year my eyes were set on fire. I have hard times staring at the computer screen. Hell, I hardly can read books! (got a medicine today - it’s better now!)

4) Art block. Probably caused by all said above, though my mood is better than I mentioned in the other post.

I keep few post in drafts, so I hope to keep updating my blog in the most busy time.

I can’t create anything good looking and apparently all I can do at the moment is fanart: whenever I try make something original, it ends as a disaster - bad mood and bad painting days continues, I guess.

SAI, GIMP, SAI and GIMP again. Thing I have learnt yesterday: I suck at SAI.

I will attempt to one more battle with the program soon. 

Uh. Just to notify few of you who are interested but don’t have FA/Weasyl account (I don’t update FB with commissions and mature stuff and I’m rather certain that the picture will not be uploaded on DeviantArt): I finished the thing. With my good, old, default program: GIMP -^_^-

I like the design of the race, the head kinda reminds me of early design of my own character.

A speedpainting.

I had about 6 hours of lectures, so I was painting this one. Painted on Nintendo 3DS, with Colors! 3D app.

This is probably the first 3DS picture painted from my imagination that has almost the right contrast and saturation (pictures on 3DS looks a little bit different, especially with high screen brightness. Usually the pictures, when viewed on my computer’s screen, look lifeless. Similar thing goes with life drawing, but here I can adjust my “sight” by comparing the thing I paint with the screen. + moving away my eyes from the system’s screen helps keep “fresh eye” on colors and contrast).

Well, this time I decided to make an animated gif. This was painted on Nintendo 3DS (obviously), with Colors! 3D app. I began that in trams, and I finished it at home.

I had a some sort of lighting vision and shadows that make a dragon image. It supposed to be a quick speedpainting but I spend some time here and there on details and 3D. Began in a tram, continued at grandma’s house, finals details and 3D at home.
